After two days of great content and inspirational wisdom from Brian Buffini’s Success Tour, you’ll want to take in the local sites and experience everything the Big Apple has to offer. The best part about New York City is that regardless of how many times you’ve been there, there’s always something new to see and do. What’s Happening in the City That Week?
West Side County Fair: September 7. If you get into town early, check out the West Side County Fair in Manhattan at Riverside Park. Bring your family and enjoy carnival rides, live music sideshow and aerial performers and much, much more! This is a free event that’s part of the NYC Parks Department’s Summer on the Hudson series.

Salute to the Sun Yoga: September 10. After you’ve been inspired by what you learned at the Success Tour, head over to The Plaza at 66th Street in Riverside Park in Manhattan for an hour of yoga. This sunset event starts at 6:30 pm is absolutely free.

88th Annual Feast of San Gennaro: September 11-21. Be sure to head down to historic Little Italy in lower Manhattan for this 11-day event that celebrates the Patron Saint of Naples. Although the main event occurs on September 19th, this Italian-American cultural festival begins on September 11, and will feature free music and entertainment, parades and a wide variety of amazing Italian food, located along Mulberry Street. Don’t miss the 13th annual Cannoli Eating Competition on opening day or the parade on September 13.

New York Oyster Week: September 12-28. Did you know that the waters around New York City were once full of oysters? Oyster Week celebrates the role of this small and delicious sea creature in the history of the city, educates the public about the benefits of fostering healthy habitats for the oysters, and promotes the oyster industry.
