Ask. If you want your clients to share your Marketing Flyers and eReports, all you have to do is ask. Chances are, your clients can’t read your mind and don’t know that you want them to share your marketing items. However, if you ask them ever-so-nicely to share an item that they think that a friend or family member may get some use out of, they’ll often happily oblige.
Make it easy. People share items that are visually appealing and/or cover a topic of interest. Make sure your items are appealing to the eye and mind! EReports are often easier to share by their very nature—all your clients have to do is click ‘forward’ and send it to a family member or friend.
If you share your items on social media, your clients can easily hit ‘share’ to post it on their feeds. Additionally, if they comment on our post, it may show up at an update in the feeds of the connections.
Thank them when they share. If you see or hear that a client has shared an item, thank them. This will make them more likely to share items in the future. It also gives you an excuse to touch base with them.
