1. Keep a gratitude journal. A gratitude journal is a record of the things for which you are grateful each day. The act of writing down the things you’re thankful for helps you to maintain perspective and think optimistically about your life. Start your day on a positive note by writing down three things you’re grateful for in your journal.
2. Do something nice for someone. Whether it’s holding the door open for someone else or volunteering a few hours a month, doing something kind allows you to appreciate everything that you have.
3. Say ‘thanks.’ It sounds so simple, doesn’t it? One of the easiest ways to show gratitude is just to say it. Make it a habit to say “thanks” whenever someone does something to help you.
